Cybersecurity Engineer

Evan has been working in the information technology and cybersecurity fields for over five years, with progressive experience ranging from IT support specialist to cybersecurity trainer and consultant. He has expertise in providing consulting services to highly regulated Fortune 500 companies and government agencies to ensure compliance. Evan’s experience also includes penetration testing, vulnerability management, development of comprehensive security policies, and technical training, all based on a deep understanding of network security and system hardening.

Prior to joining Richey May, Evan worked as a Senior Information Systems Technologist for Raytheon, where he was contracted directly to federal government agencies to maintain their systems, and secure and harden their networks. His services were instrumental in ensuring compliance with new regulations passed in the wake of the Snowden data security leaks. Evan started his cybersecurity career in the military at the age of 18, where he was a cyber intelligence analyst for the Army. He was later a cybersecurity instructor for both the U.S. Army Cyber Command and other intelligence agencies, serving 2 years overseas supporting U.S. cyber and network operations.

Evan currently lives in Aurora, Colorado with his wife and two dogs. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, fishing, and hunting. Evan also has a passion for supporting and volunteering for the local veteran community.
